The Hong Kong Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (HKSPEN) was established in 2007. It is the first and only multidisciplinary academic society in Hong Kong dedicated to clinical nutrition, with representation from physicians, nurses, dietitians and pharmacists working in both public and private sectors. The Society aims to promulgate the importance of nutrition in patient care and well-being. We wish to keep our health care providers in Hong Kong abreast of latest development and information in clinical nutrition, which plays a pivotal role in speeding up patients’ recovery, minimizing morbidities, shortening hospital stay and last but not least, lowering the socioeconomic cost to the community in the long run.
